About the Role
A leader ready to maximize the impact of Mitchell’s educational endowment. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional for the newly established Endowed Instructional and Engagement Coordinator position. This is a unique role designed to elevate the quality of classroom instruction, classroom management, and parent/community relationships directly leading to improved student engagement.
This Coordinator will be the key driver for all endowed instructional activities, providing coaching and classroom support to teachers, leading professional development using cutting-edge strategies (e.g., Jim Knight engagement approaches), development and oversight of all endowed programs, and ensuring transparent accountability through data reporting to the Endowment Committee.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Instructional Excellence: Training faculty on effective student engagement and classroom management techniques.
- Program Leadership: Participating in and providing oversight in program operations, staff, and fidelity of all endowed student programs.
- Professional Growth: Designing and leading high-quality professional development for all program staff.
- Community Partnership: Spearheading parent and community engagement initiatives, including parenting coursework, to strengthen the home-school relationship.
- Accountability: Serving as the key liaison to the Foundation Committee, tracking performance indicators, and producing detailed reports that document the outcomes of endowed investments.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of successful experience in public education, background in or with instructional training, or a related educational leadership role.
- Demonstrated expertise and training in effective student engagement strategies, classroom management, and professional development (experience with approaches like Kagan Structures or Jim Knight Coaching highly desirable).
- Proven experience in program coordination and management, including program oversight.
- Strong analytical skills with experience collecting, analyzing, and reporting educational and program performance data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and professional report generation.
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and highly engaged learning environment for all students.
Compensation & Benefits
This is a full-time, 12-month position with a competitive salary, commensurate with experience. The compensation reflects the comprehensive responsibilities across instruction, program coordination, professional development, and endowment stewardship (including the roles of Student Success Specialist, Afterschool/Data Director, Tutor Coordinator, Parent Engagement Coordinator, (potential) Summer School Coordinator, and PD Trainer). Benefits package also included.
