    We need a gift shop manager who loves to communicate with others (in person, over the phone, e-mail, and social media) and has top notch customer service!

    This person will need to bring energy to the position and have a positive outlook. You need to be a planner, organized and resourceful and able to collaborate with a small team, but numerous part-time and seasonal staff.

    Preference will be given to candidates who hold a bachelor’s degree and have retail management experience, including purchasing and controlling inventory, and merchandising.

    This is a full-time position with benefits including health and dental insurance, retirement plan with employer match, paid holidays, and paid time off.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, EDUCATION:
    • Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree and retail experience
    • Supervises and leads staff, including hiring, training, and conducting annual evaluations
    • Must possess excellent organizational skills, be initiative-taking, and work well in a team environment.
    • Proficient with computers, internet, and software, including Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
    Responsibilities
    • Assists in managing the retail and wholesale business of the gift shop. Including: Drawer counting, retail merchandising, online sales and inventory control for summer and year-round gift/souvenir shops.
    • Manages day to day operations of gift shop team
    • Supervises seasonal retail team
    • Manages warehouse space
    • Assists in coordination of retail promotions and events
    • Assists in planning, training and implementing procedures in a small business environment
    • Assists in website order fulfillment
    • Assists in the marketing efforts for the gift shop through social media platforms
    • Maintains gift shop website with new and outdated products
    • Assists in gift shop merchandising and buying
    • Develops gift shop and visitor center team work schedules
    • Assists in the marketing efforts for the gift shop through social media platforms
