Summary of Duties:
Assist students with disabilities by supporting the implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), providing academic and behavioral support, and helping maintain a structured and therapeutic learning environment.

Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or completion of a paraeducator certification program required; bachelor’s degree in education, special education, psychology, or related field preferred.
- Valid South Dakota driver’s license.
- Experience working with students with disabilities, behavioral challenges, or special education needs preferred.
- Knowledge of IEP accommodations, behavioral interventions, and classroom support strategies.
- Ability to effectively interact with sensitivity and responsiveness to cultural differences in the student population.
- Ability to work collaboratively with educational, clinical, and residential staff.
- Assist with implementation and monitoring of IEP goals, accommodations, instructional modifications, and behavioral support strategies.
- Provide targeted individual and small-group academic and behavioral support aligned with student learning objectives and intervention plans.
- Collect, track, and communicate academic and behavioral data related to student progress, IEP objectives, and significant incidents.
- Assist with classroom organization, preparation of instructional materials, and support of daily educational activities and routines.
- Support crisis de-escalation and behavior management in accordance with student plans and agency procedures.
