MITCHELL, SD – Main Street Mitchell will once again come alive on Thursday, July 31, 2025, as the Palace City Pre-Sturgis Party kicks off the rally season with an evening of live entertainment, motorcycles, and community pride. The event begins at 5:00 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
This year’s party will feature live performances by Weston Frank and Shelby Lee Lowe, as well as stunt shows from the Dialed Action Moto Trials team throughout the evening.
More than just a party, the event is a celebration of Mitchell’s energy and a strategic opportunity to welcome riders traveling through the state for the Sturgis Rally. It highlights Mitchell’s unique ability to host large-scale events while showcasing the hospitality and vibrancy of the community.
“The Palace City Pre-Sturgis Party is an event that utilizes, includes, and counts on so many different individuals, groups, organizations, and businesses within the Mitchell community and beyond for their participation and support to make this party a successful, fun, annual, staple event for Mitchell, SD and the thousand party-goers that attend,” said Aaron Heib, Administrative Coordinator at the City of Mitchell.
As thousands of bikers make their way across South Dakota, this event gives them a reason to stop, stay, and celebrate right here in Mitchell. It’s one of the best ways the community can capitalize on the energy and excitement leading into the Sturgis Rally while providing a memorable experience for locals and visitors alike.
